History of the 1986 Ford Country Squire

The Country Squire nameplate identified Ford’s full-size station wagons for many years, and the 1986 model continued that body style into the later part of the decade. These wagons featured woodgrain trim accents on the sides and a large cargo area behind the rear seats, making them common choices for family travel during the 1980s.

The five-door configuration and automatic transmission were standard for the era, and the overall proportions gave the vehicle a recognizable silhouette on roads at the time. Its design placed it firmly in the period when many productions need authentic background or supporting vehicles.

California Picture Car Rental Uses

This 1986 Ford Country Squire works for establishing shots of suburban neighborhoods or highway travel sequences set in the 1980s. Its blue finish and wagon body allow it to appear as a typical family or commuter car without requiring additional set dressing.

Productions can also place it in music videos, still photography sessions, or branded content that calls for period texture. Event organizers and commercial teams have used similar wagons for displays or as static props when the scene needs a grounded 1980s presence.
