History of the 1970 Dodge Charger “500” Trim Level 440-V8 /GoMango Orange

The 1970 Dodge Charger belongs to the second-generation B-body platform that defined the peak muscle car years. The Charger 500 trim package added comfort and appearance upgrades over the standard model while keeping the same performance-oriented body lines. High-impact colors such as GoMango Orange were factory offerings that helped these cars stand out on streets and in period photography.

Many examples from this era featured big-block engines and automatic transmissions, matching the configuration found on this restored car. The combination of bright paint, hidden headlights, and rear-wheel-drive layout made the model a common sight in automotive culture of the early 1970s.

Pennsylvania Picture Car Rental Uses

Crews filming in Pennsylvania can use this Charger for establishing shots that need a bold 1970s vehicle in the background. Its bright color and intact chrome trim work well for character-driven scenes where the car helps define personality or era. The vehicle also supplies texture for street scenes or parking-lot shots without requiring additional set dressing.

Beyond narrative work, the car suits commercial shoots, music videos, and branded content that reference classic American performance. Still photographers often request vehicles like this for automotive features or lifestyle spreads that want authentic period detail.
