Rent Muscle Cars has added the 1964 Ford Galaxy 500 through the USA Movie Cars network. Crews filming in Nevada can reach out to coordinate its use on set without arranging long-distance transport from other regions.

Spotlight on this 1964 Ford Galaxy 500

The listing shows a Ragoon Red exterior with factory-style red cloth and vinyl bench seat interior. It carries a period-correct 390 cubic inch Ford V8, automatic column-shift transmission, Ford 9 rear end, power steering, and power four-wheel drilled and slotted disc brakes. Additional details include dual exhaust with manifolds, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, aluminum radiator with electric fan, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, front sway bar, factory-style gauge cluster with white-face plate, factory-style steering wheel, and 18-inch Ridler 650 wheels. Aftermarket Vintage Air conditioning is also noted.

These elements combine to give the car a clean, usable appearance for camera work. The red-on-red color scheme stands out in both daylight and night setups, while the bench seat and column shifter preserve the original cabin layout that many period productions require. Producers can use it for establishing shots or as a character vehicle without modern details breaking the visual continuity.

Rent Muscle Cars and the Nevada Picture Car Market

Rent Muscle Cars works with USA Movie Cars to connect productions with vehicles listed across the country. The network partners with state-level picture car sites such as Nevada Picture Cars to make local searches simpler for crews already working in Nevada. When a production needs a 1964 Ford Galaxy 500 in Henderson, Nevada, the system routes them to the nearest available option instead of requiring out-of-state transport.

This approach helps location managers and picture car coordinators build day-to-day needs from regional stock. Productions shooting in Nevada gain access to vehicles that match the era without extra logistics, while USA Movie Cars maintains the central listing that feeds multiple state sites.

History of the 1964 Ford Galaxy 500

The 1964 Ford Galaxy 500 belongs to the full-size line Ford produced during the early 1960s. The model year marked a continuation of the Galaxie series that had grown popular for its combination of size, power, and everyday usability. Two-door coupes like this one offered a sportier profile than four-door sedans while still carrying the same mechanical layout.

During that decade the Galaxy 500 appeared in many American driveways and on roadsides. Its clean lines and available V8 engines made it a common sight in period imagery from the mid-1960s onward. The body style and trim details captured in the listing align with the factory offerings of that specific year.

Nevada Picture Car Rental Uses

Productions can place the 1964 Ford Galaxy 500 in period scenes set in the 1960s. It works as a parked vehicle in establishing shots, a character car in dialogue sequences, or background texture in street scenes. The red exterior and bench-seat interior read clearly on camera in both color and black-and-white footage.

Commercials, still photography, music videos, and branded content shoots can also use the car for its vintage silhouette. Event planners sometimes request similar vehicles for themed displays or photo opportunities. Because the car is based in Henderson, Nevada, local crews can schedule it for same-day or next-day needs when weather or script changes require quick adjustments.
