Rent Muscle Cars has added a 1962 Corvette Roadster to its Florida picture car rental offerings through the USA Movie Cars network. Crews working on film, television, or commercial projects can now access this roadster locally without long-distance transport.

Spotlight on this 1962 Corvette Roadster

This 1962 Corvette Roadster is described as a restomod built brand new from the chassis up. It features a convertible body style with silver exterior paint and red interior. The two-door layout and manual transmission match the original C1 generation design while providing updated reliability for on-set use. Producers can count on the clean lines of the roadster for shots that need a mid-century sports car presence.

The listing highlights the car as both a classic convertible and an example of American muscle from the early 1960s. Its compact proportions and open-top configuration make it suitable for scenes where the vehicle needs to stand out in background or foreground roles. Location managers in Coconut Grove, Florida, can coordinate short-notice access for productions that want this era-specific look without traveling far from Miami-area sets.

This network approach lets location managers search regionally while still reaching the broader USA Movie Cars database. Productions filming in Florida benefit from quicker turnaround when a car like this 1962 Corvette Roadster is already positioned in Coconut Grove rather than shipped from out of state.

History of the 1962 Corvette Roadster

The 1962 Corvette Roadster belongs to the final year of the C1 generation, which ran from 1953 to 1962. Chevrolet offered the model as a convertible only during this era, giving it a low-slung profile and open-air driving character that later generations moved away from. The two-door roadster body carried forward styling cues from the late 1950s while introducing minor updates to the grille and side trim.

By 1962 the Corvette had established itself as an American sports car with growing performance credentials. The manual transmission and gasoline powertrain were standard choices that year. Productions seeking a vehicle that reflects early 1960s automotive design can use this roadster to anchor scenes set in that decade or to add period texture to contemporary stories that reference vintage styling.

Florida Picture Car Rental Uses

Producers can use this 1962 Corvette Roadster for establishing shots that require a classic convertible silhouette. Its silver and red color combination provides visual contrast against Florida backdrops such as coastal roads or urban streets in Coconut Grove. Background texture in period scenes set in the 1960s benefits from the car’s authentic body lines and open top.

Commercials and still photography crews often need a single strong vehicle to anchor a frame. This roadster supplies that focal point without overwhelming the composition. Music videos and branded content can place the car in motion or parked to support narratives that reference vintage American style. Event planners have also used similar convertibles for staged arrivals or display purposes at corporate functions held in Florida.
