1962 Chevrolet Corvette Rental Added in Ohio

Rent Muscle Cars has added this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette through the USA Movie Cars network. The vehicle sits in FAIRBORN, Ohio, giving crews working in the region a period-correct convertible for film, television, and commercial projects. Producers searching for an Ohio picture car rental or Ohio movie car now have another option that fits 1960s settings without requiring long-distance transport.

Spotlight on this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette

The listing shows a Roman Red exterior paired with a black interior. It comes with both a black soft top and a Roman Red auxiliary hard top, allowing quick changes between open and closed looks on set. A 327 cubic inch V-8 engine rated at 340 horsepower pairs with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car was built on May 17, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, and remains unrestored yet meticulously maintained.

These details help producers judge how the Corvette will read on camera. The red-and-black color scheme stands out in daylight establishing shots, while the choice of top lets crews match weather or continuity needs. The manual transmission adds authentic sound and motion during drive-bys or dialogue scenes set in the early 1960s.

Rent Muscle Cars and the Ohio Picture Car Market

Rent Muscle Cars works with USA Movie Cars to connect productions to vehicles stored across the Midwest. FAIRBORN, Ohio, sits within easy reach of major cities in the state, so local crews can reduce travel time and shipping costs. USA Movie Cars works with state picture-car sites such as Ohio Picture Cars to help productions find local picture vehicles instead of arranging nationwide transport.

This partnership gives location managers and picture car coordinators a clearer view of what sits inside Ohio. When a script calls for a 1960s convertible, teams can check nearby options first. The network approach also lets independent filmmakers in smaller markets reach the same inventory that larger productions use.

History of the 1962 Chevrolet Corvette

The 1962 Corvette marked the final year of the C1 generation. Chevrolet offered the 327 cubic inch V-8 that year, and buyers could select a four-speed manual gearbox for more direct control. Production reached 14,531 units, with an original base price of $4,038. Many cars left the factory with options such as an auxiliary hard top, signal-seeking AM radio, and seat belts.

The body style remained a two-seat convertible throughout the generation. Color combinations like Roman Red over black interior appeared regularly in period advertising and owner photographs. Because the car stayed in production only through 1962, it carries a distinct early-sixties profile that later Corvette generations do not share.

Ohio Picture Car Rental Uses

Crews filming period scenes set between 1962 and the mid-1960s can place the Corvette on suburban streets or rural roads to establish the era. Its bright red finish works for character vehicles that need to draw attention in wide shots. Background texture comes from parking the car in driveways or along curbs without requiring dialogue.

Commercial and still photography teams can use the convertible for product launches that want a classic sports car backdrop. Music videos benefit from the manual transmission sound during tracking shots. Event planners have booked similar vehicles for corporate gatherings or branded content days where guests expect period cars on display.
